Hi Lovey!

My name is Angelique and this is my personal Archive/Blog that takes you through my mind. This website will include all of my personal creative projects, personal style posts, art, music, things that inspire me, and self discovery through my life lessons and experiences. This will also mostly just be a place for me to rant and do creative dumps.

As a kid growing up; one of my goals was to be a popular fashion blogger. As you may know, in the early 2000’s it was becoming trendy to have a fashion blog and some of the well known ones even got invited to fashion shows. I even used to have an old fashion blog called 1111 Style that I used to write about my personal style/outfits, trends, and beauty products I was using. I had this blog from middle school through early high school. Eventually the fashion blog trend died down after the rise of social media.

One day while I was going through some of my old portfolios and media I found my old fashion blog. Going through the posts and entering my young mind was so crazy to me. It’s just interesting to see that I have some of the same goals and genuinely always knew what I wanted out of life. And that was to work in fashion. At the same time, I am also a person that is constantly evolving and taking on new shapes and mediums; but at my core have the same values and dreams.

Going through my old blog was genuinely so inspiring. Not because I was doing anything ground breaking or revolutionary but because it was a manifestation of something I created. It was authentically me.

I went through a depressive episode a few months ago and me finding this old blog made me so emotional and happy. It was great seeing something that I did purely for the fun of it even if it wasn’t producing any results. I decided to go back to my roots and create this blog regardless of its popularity so that I may one day look back on this as an archive/time capsule of the person I am in this season of life and my phases beyond.I also thought a post on here could potentially help someone else going through similar feelings, situations, or to even just to be re inspired. As we’ve seen from going through the lock down and with some of the censoring happening to popular social media platforms, it could be beneficial to have your own platform to freely express yourself. So I’m excited and looking forward to creating this safe space to freely express myself without the pressure of catering to an audience or being aesthetically pleasing all the time.
